Sing Out! Productions Workshop Information

Along with myself and administrators, Teresa and Camellia, we accept invitations from church and community choirs who would like to host weekend  gospel music workshops and workshop concerts.

Gospel music has become a hugely popular genre in the choral world.  In the past few years, gospel choirs have sprung up everywhere.  From community choirs to university choirs, folks are loving their gospel music and taking it very seriously. (not to mention having a lot of fun singing it!)

We also present the very popular Singing and Vocal Techniques Workshop for singers who want to continue to learn about and develop their voice. 

What can you expect at a Sing Out! Productions Gospel Music Workshop?

We spend a weekend learning and performing exciting gospel music.  Saturday the participants spend the day learning exciting gospel music and being treated to a great catered hot buffet lunch.  We learn, memorize and polish up music in preparation for the workshop concert on Sunday afternoon. 

The workshop concert is open to an audience, many of whom get caught up in the energy of the music and find themselves singing along from the pews.  Joining the workshop choir in concert are professional musicians playing drums and bass.  For some concerts, additional musicians are invited to join us.  I direct the choir from the piano, and together we certainly do raise the roof!

What can you expect at a Sing Out! Productions Voice Workshop?

Participants spend a Saturday singing, focusing on foundational singing techniques, applying them to their individual voices and then learning how to incorporate them into their choral singing life. 

This is a very popular workshop with many commenting on how much they learn in such a short time.   Learning how to increase the vocal range, both higher and lower notes, developing greater presence in the voice, how to communicate more effectively as a singer, are techniques singers are excited to discover and develop.
